WTO & Domestos join forces to raise awarenss of toilet sanitation on World Toilet Day

World Toilet Day was established on November 19, 2001 by the World Toilet Organization. Celebrated annually, it seeks to increase awareness of the importance of toilet sanitation and each individual's right to a safe and hygienic sanitary environment.

This year, Unilever's Domestos will be the inaugural sponsor of World Toilet Day and will work together with the World Toilet Organization to drive attention to the issue of worldwide sanitation. The combined authority and expertise of the World Toilet Organization and Unilever will help to improve the lives of those affected by poor sanitation and increase access to hygienically clean toilets around the world. The partnership stems from Domestos' expertise in toilet hygiene and its global reach as one of Unilever's oldest brands. It is present in 35 countries worldwide, from the UK and India to the Philippines.
